Tea Containers and Tea Bowls: Through the Eyes of a Connoisseur,” an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the publication of a catalog that shows distinguished tea utensils, is currently being held at Tokyo’s Nezu Museum and will continue through July 11. The Mainichi visited the museum and learned about the set of prestigious books which present us with pointers to appreciate the long-standing tradition of tea.
The exhibition showcases tea containers and tea bowls in the museum’s collection that are listed in the Taisho Meikikan (Famed Tea Utensils of the Taisho Period [1912-1926]), as well as other items in connection with this modern publication.
