On June 10–12, in Las Vegas, a series of Tea Masters Cup events took place as part of World Tea Expo. On June 10 and 12, certification sessions for TMC USA and Canada national judges were held. On June 11 and 12, tea masters competed in the categories of Tea Preparation and Tea Mixology.
Michael Ortiz was the best in Tea Preparation, Adrien Etkin Nascimento won the competition in the Tea Mixology category. The judges noted the high professional level of the participants as well as their high experience of the work with tea.
In the future season, the organizers of TMC USA plan to preface the national final with a series of regional qualifying rounds, which will be held at tea festivals in several cities of the country. The next national final for TMC USA is scheduled for June 2020 in Denver.
